Focus: Jacob wrestles with an angel
Letter Activity
I drew the letter ‘D’ on a piece of paper, and placed glue along it. The boys put macaroni on the ‘D’. (‘R’ is still having a hard time with this letter as well. He still says, “I don’t know when I ask him what it is.)
Bible Activity
The boys acted out the Bible story of Jacob wrestling with the angel. “A” was Jacob, “R” was the angel/God. Here is the picture of them wrestling, and the picture where God touches Jacobs hip/leg. They had a fun time acting this out. “R” kept saying, “stop Jacob, no more fighting.”, and “A” would reply, “no, I won’t stop until you give me a blessing.”
They then acted out the story with puppets. Penguin is Jacob, and Owl is the angel/God.
