“What do you know?” This is a review of the four letters we have learned in these past five units.
Bible Story
Genesis 37:3-4
The New Bible in Pictures for Little Eyes
Focus: Joseph gets a multi-colored coat from his dad, Jacob
Art Activity
The boys took Q-tips and dipped them in water colored with food coloring. They then made “Joseph’s coat “.
Letter Activity
We reviewed the letters A-B-C-D with the flashcards. I quizzed both boys, although “A” knows pretty much the whole alphabet. “R” knows A and B, consistently, and sometimes gets C and D. I also had the boys pretend that they were the teacher. They took turns quizzing each other.
Bible Activity
The kids acted out the story we read today. They took turns being “Joseph”, pretending to open a present, acting surprised and trying on a coat, and saying “thank you so much Dad!”
We then talked about the special gifts the boys have received, and also the concept of jealousy and what God’s thoughts are on this.
