Ore Cart Art Project

The city of Rocklin commissioned local artists to paint “ore carts” and had them placed throughout the historic district. Rocklin Fine Arts was one of the groups accepted to pain an ore cart. I helped with some of the basic fill-in painting. Here it is stationed next to the historic Finnish Hall!

Our Camera Man!

Alex serves as a cameraman at out church services and events. My friend Stacy caught sent these photos to me. Alex loves serving in this way and I’m so proud of his commitment.

Lost Boys!

Another epic family memory made! Did and I took the boys to the 10:30pm showing of the LOST BOYS at the Crest Theatre in Sacramento. The theatre filled with fans of this classic, campy ’80’s movie.

One of my favorite runs! Five miles trail run, then breakfast at the Flower Farm after! I love running with my friends.

Maui 2020 <3

Always love our time on Maui! Enjoyed visiting with our friends, The Jenks, (we coordinate our timeshare time with them so we are on the island at the same time) as well as a wonderful surprise, discovering my friend Gaby was on the island as well! It was her first time there and I was able to introduce her to the Kapalua Coastal Trail hike. Got to see our snowbird Maui friends, Jeff and Mary Cay, for brunch as well.

My sole sister, Aarti, and I decided to hear up to Chico for a quarter marathon race. I’m so glad we did it. Such a fun race! We ran into a couple other MRTT friends as well.

10 mile, quarter marathon, and 5k options. Our quarter marathon (6.55 miles) was about 80% trail/20% road. The trail was wide and the route was an out and back so we could cheer/be cheered by the runners ahead/behind us. Not too many undulations so it was easy to run even if you don’t typically run trails. I ran in my road shoes and had no issues. The road part was wide country road and hardly any cars. When there were cars, they drove very slow and respected the runners. (Hugging them all in my heart right now). The race begins and ends in Bidwell Park and there was plenty of parking. Small race, but very well organized and supported with appropriate signs/support volunteer offering directions/aid stations. Long sleeved technical tshirt/ and a medal. Proceeds go to a local domestic violence shelter.

49er’s vs. Packers!

We had hoped these would be tickets for 49er’s vs. Seahawks, but, alas, it was not to be. We still decided to go and we had a fantastic time! Boys2Men sand the National Anthem. That was a nice surprise.

We had great seats and created special family memories.

Night Trail Run

Resolution Run 2020!

I took pretty much a full year off from running, aside from a few random, short runs. Felt the urge to get back to it and decided to run the Resolution Run 5K on New Year’s Day. It’s a hard trail race that goes down into a canyon, then back up. I love it and hate it. It’s hard, but the sense of accomplishment once complete is encouraging.

Of course, running with friends is the best!

HE’S 17!!
