The local fire station brings Santa around every year. The kids love it!

This was the third time I have ran in the CIM relay. The other two times were 4-5 years ago. This year, I took the first leg, which meant a very early morning! Had a great time training with our team and I look forward to it again next year!

This is a photo of all the women who made the US Olympic trials!
An early morning photo of our run club women running either the full marathon, or the first leg in the relay…

My love had business to tend to in Vegas and invited me to join him! It was my first time, but not my last. Yes, there’s some unsavory elements, and it can be a bit overwhelming, but there are positive elements too, and I choose to focus on those. We were only there two nights, and we maxed our time exploring.
We stayed at the Paris hotel. The convention hubby had to attend was there, and was perfectly located on the strip. We arrived around 7pm, and after we got settled in our room, we went to find some dinner. Waled across the street to Bellagio, but ended up walking back to the Paris and had an incredible dinner at Gordon Ramsay Steak restaurant.
The next morning, I got up early and met with Lisa from my running club. She was coincidentally in Vegas with her family. We both had a goal of running 100 miles for the month of November and she was two miles shy of meeting that goal. We decided to run those two miles together in Vegas!
While David was at the convention, I spent the rest of the day exploring the Strip. Went through many properties. They were all changing from Autumn decor to holiday.
That night, we went to the interactive dinner theatre, Tony and Tina’s Wedding. You are the “guests” at the wedding of two dysfunctional east coast Italian families. It was hilarious!
A nice morning walk with David, and a delicious breakfast at Mon Ami Gabi (also in the Paris hotel), and we headed for home.
I walked through so many properties, I can’t recall where many of these photos were taken. This was an Asian Noodle restaurant that had rows of goldfish tanks. I was impressed at how clean all the tanks were. A serious filter system. Fish poop, but you did not see any of it.
We are breakfast outside at Mon Ami Gabi. The little birds lined up for any crumbs that might have found their way to the ground…

This was inside the mall connecting the Venetian and Pallazzo hotels…
These two photos are actually inside!

Outside, in front of the Venetian…
After running with Lisa, I decided to keep going and ran to the Las Vegas sign.

Our amazing dinner at Gordon Ramsay’s. The photos imported backwards, so you see here, dessert first…
This was a sticky toffee pudding that we shared. You poured a cream over it, and the “butter” was actually an incredible ice cream…

5K or Half Marathon. I ran the 5K. For a run that was not supposed to have hills, this one kind of did!
Me and my friend, Shanti! I ate her dust right off the bat…

My awesome friend, next door neighbor, and running partner. She slows down for me on our daily runs, but during the races, she is Ms. Fastie, and meets me at the finish line!

Terrific mother-runners in our running club…(Moms Run This Town)

A special tradition for our homeschool group, and our family. We gathered and packaged items to send overseas through Operation Christmas Child.

I met a lovely woman with a large family. She is a wise home manager with meal planning and budgeting. Once a year, she hosts a dry soup mix workshop. She created a cookbook ($10) with around 20 recipes. All of the recipes are vegan, and gluten free, although you can easily add meat to them.
We were able to pick whatever recipes we wanted and make as many mixes as we wanted (at 5.95 per mix). I made one mix of each. They all go into the crockpot and make enough to feed a family of four for about four meals! Seriously! I end up freezing half! All the recipes have been great so far (we have eaten five of them), and have added different meat as desired.
We brought our own containers (I bought Ziplock bags). Some people brought mason jars with the intention to give away as gifts.
It was a nice day and she had everything set up on her patio.
This table had the recipe cards. You picked the recipe you wanted to build. Once complete, you return the card.

This is the row of dried beans. Inside each container is a measuring cup.

This is the table of herbs and spices. Some were even from her own garden!

I left with a huge bag full of soups!
