recognizes all of them.\u00a0 &#8216;R&#8217; can do about half.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p style=\"margin: 0px;\">\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p style=\"margin: 0px;\">We talked about different ways mother animals care for their young.\u00a0 I asked &#8216;A&#8217; what I do to take care of him and &#8216;R&#8217;.\u00a0 He replied, &#8220;you hug me, you take good love of me, you take us to the doctors, you wash my hair, you draw tattoos on us.&#8221;\u00a0 He also added that, &#8220;Daddy brought &#8216;Minus&#8217; (his stuffed dog) home.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p style=\"margin: 0px;\">I asked &#8216;R&#8217; the same thing and he replied, &#8220;play cars&#8221;.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p style=\"margin: 0px;\">\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p style=\"margin: 0px;\">We looked at a world map and talked about the different places\u00a0where\u00a0the\u00a0animals (in the book) live.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p style=\"margin: 0px;\">\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p style=\"margin: 0px;\"><strong>Memory<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p style=\"margin: 0px;\">We played a memory game.\u00a0 I had &#8216;A&#8217; study the page that had the man&#8217;s tools.\u00a0 I\u00a0said the tool names to the boys and had &#8216;R&#8217; repeat them and point to them.\u00a0 Then, I took the book away and had &#8216;A&#8217; remember the tools.\u00a0 There were nine tools in all.\u00a0 Of those, &#8216;A&#8217; remembered: wrench, pliers, ruler, saw, hammer, and nails.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p style=\"margin: 0px;\">\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p style=\"margin: 0px;\">I then did the same with the page with the animals in Katy&#8217;s apron pockets.\u00a0 There were 13 animals in all.\u00a0 Of those, &#8216;A&#8217; remembered: turtle, snail, frog, monkey, rabbit, opossum, skunk, squirrel.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p style=\"margin: 0px;\">\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p style=\"margin: 0px;\"><strong>Kindness and Gratitude<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p style=\"margin: 0px;\">We talked about how being kind and grateful helps make the world a nicer place to live.\u00a0 We also talked about how not everyone responds this way at all times, but when we are polite, our world is more pleasant.\u00a0 We then practiced saying &#8216;please&#8217;
