{"id":176018,"date":"2006-07-31T19:11:00","date_gmt":"2006-08-01T03:11:00","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.centerdeep2.com\/riverbendprep\/2006\/07\/31\/recipes-for-july31-august-6\/"},"modified":"2006-07-31T19:11:00","modified_gmt":"2006-08-01T03:11:00","slug":"recipes-for-july31-august-6","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.centerdeep2.com\/riverbendprep\/2006\/07\/31\/recipes-for-july31-august-6\/","title":{"rendered":"Recipes for July31-August 6"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><P>These are a few recipes I will be using for this week.&nbsp; (See menu plan on side bar.)<\/P><br \/>\n<P>&nbsp;<\/P><br \/>\n<P><STRONG>Crockpot pineapple roast<\/STRONG><\/P><br \/>\n<DIV id=\"rInt\">Ingredients:<\/DIV><br \/>\n<UL><br \/>\n<LI>1 boneless pork loin roast<br \/>\n<LI>1\/2c. flour<br \/>\n<LI>3T. butter or&nbsp;margarine<br \/>\n<LI>2 medium sliced onions<br \/>\n<LI>1 can crushed pineapple (20 oz), undrained<br \/>\n<LI>1T. vinegar<br \/>\n<LI>1T. soy sauce<br \/>\n<LI>1c. chopped green bell peppers<br \/>\n<LI>1\/2t. cinnamon<br \/>\n<LI>1\/2 t. ground ginger<br \/>\n<LI>1t. garlic powder<\/LI><\/UL><br \/>\n<DIV>Slice pork loin in slices about 3\/4-inch thick. Dredge in flour seasoned with salt and pepper. Heat margarine&nbsp; or butter in a large non-stick skillet over medium heat. Add pork slices and excess flour; brown both sides.<\/DIV><br \/>\n<DIV>&nbsp;<\/DIV><br \/>\n<DIV><br \/>\n<DIV><br \/>\nzSB(3,3)<\/p>\n<p><DIV id=\"gB3\">Transfer browned pork to the slow cooker\/Crock Pot (3 1\/2-qt. or larger). Add onions and peppers to the skillet, stirring, until slightly browned and tender. Add remaining ingredients and bring to a boil; pour over pork. Cover and cook on low 8 to 10 hours. Serve over hot rice. Serves 6 to 8.<\/DIV><br \/>\n<DIV>&nbsp;<\/DIV><br \/>\n<DIV>&nbsp;<\/DIV><br \/>\n<DIV><STRONG>Lemon Rosemary Chicken<\/STRONG><\/DIV><br \/>\n<DIV>2t. olive oil<\/DIV><br \/>\n<DIV>4, 4oz. boneless, skinless chicken breasts<\/DIV><br \/>\n<DIV>4 lemons, squeezed<\/DIV><br \/>\n<DIV>2T. honey<\/DIV><br \/>\n<DIV>2t. lemon peel<\/DIV><br \/>\n<DIV>4T. fresh rosemary<\/DIV><br \/>\n<DIV>salt pepper<\/DIV><br \/>\n<DIV>&nbsp;<\/DIV><br \/>\n<DIV>Heat a skillet with olive oil.&nbsp; Brown the chicken.&nbsp; Remove and keep warm.&nbsp; Combine remaining ingredients.&nbsp; Bring to a boil.&nbsp; Decrease heat and simmer 5 minutes.&nbsp; Add flour to thicken, if necessary.&nbsp; Return chicken to the saucepan.<\/DIV><br \/>\n<DIV>&nbsp;<\/DIV><br \/>\n<DIV><STRONG>Fresh Fish Tacos<\/STRONG><\/DIV><br \/>\n<DIV>Flour tortillas<\/DIV><br \/>\n<DIV>Red snapper or tilapia<\/DIV><br \/>\n<DIV>Shredded lettuce<\/DIV><br \/>\n<DIV>grated jack cheese<\/DIV><br \/>\n<DIV>Fresh salsa<\/DIV><br \/>\n<DIV>&nbsp;<\/DIV><br \/>\n<DIV>Cook the fish. (We will be grilling it.)&nbsp; Warm tortilla in oven, or stovetop.&nbsp; Place fish on tortilla, add lettuce, cheese and salsa.<\/DIV><br \/>\n<DIV>&nbsp;<\/DIV><br \/>\n<DIV><STRONG>Fresh salsa:<\/STRONG> Chop blade on food processor.&nbsp; Chop tomatoes, onion, cilantro, garlic.
