“Adam and the Animals”.\u00a0 This time, I just did the actions and “A told the story.<\/p>\n

We read Genesis 3:2-6<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

We also read “The New Bible in Pictures for Little Eyes”<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

Focus: Adam and Eve disobeyed<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

“A” was very intrigued at the idea of God taking a rib from Adam and creating Eve.\u00a0 We palpated our own ribs, then looked up drawings of skeletons that showed ribs.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

Dramatic Play<\/strong><\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

I tied together two belts and created a large “serpent”.\u00a0 The boys took turns jumping forward, backward, and sideways over the wiggling “snake.”<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

Focus:\u00a0 Adam and Eve should have stayed away from the snake.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

Letter Activity<\/strong><\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

The boys had to find all the “A”‘s on the sheet, upper and lower case and color over them.\u00a0 This was unassisted by me.\u00a0 “R” found 8\/15 and “A” found 11\/15.\u00a0 They also had to draw a line from the upper case “A” to the lower case.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

Focus:\u00a0 The boys eventually should be able to recognize the capital and small ‘A’ in words.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

Math Activity<\/strong><\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

The boys colored a picture of a tree, cut the tree (with assistance), and glued it onto the ‘Number One’ page.\u00a0 One tree=One<\/p>\n

Bible Activity<\/strong><\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

I asked the boys how they think God feels when they disobey.\u00a0 ‘A’ said that God would kick them out of their house.\u00a0 I told him that God would not do that, even though He did do it to Adam and Eve.\u00a0 He then said that God would be ‘sad’.\u00a0 I asked him if he thought God would be angry, and ‘A’ responded, “no, just sad.”.<\/p>\n

Listened to the songs, “Two Trees”, and “God’s Promise”<\/p>\n
