We read the story about Joseph in jail and how God continued to take care of him there.<\/p>\n

Dramatic Play<\/strong><\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

Each child had a stuffed animal (our friend ‘O’, age 2, participated as well.)\u00a0 I would make a statement, such as: “I like to eat pizza”, and the boys would have their animals nod or shake their heads.\u00a0 After I did my statements, “A” made up some for us to do.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

Focus: Joseph always answered honestly.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

Letter Activity<\/strong><\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

We reviewed the flashcards A-B-C-D.\u00a0 I had each boys trace the letters with their fingers.\u00a0 I then got out a large dry erase board.\u00a0 The two younger boys drew whatever and watched me work with ‘A’.\u00a0 ‘A’ practiced\u00a0writing A-B-C and D on the dry erase board.<\/p>\n

Bible Activity<\/strong><\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

I would ask the kids to do something, and they would respond. ‘yes, teacher’.\u00a0 After I had them do a few simple things, I asked them, “Do you work hard even when you don’t want to?” (They all said ‘yes’). “Do you listen to what God says in the Bible, or do you do whatever you want to do? (‘A’ answered, he wanted to do what God wants him to do.)<\/p>\n

Focus: Joseph worked hard even in prison, and God took care of him.<\/p>\n
