{"id":204137,"date":"2006-09-18T06:58:00","date_gmt":"2006-09-18T14:58:00","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.centerdeep2.com\/riverbendprep\/2006\/09\/18\/fun-and-busy-weekend\/"},"modified":"2025-06-22T17:52:01","modified_gmt":"2025-06-22T17:52:01","slug":"fun-and-busy-weekend","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.centerdeep2.com\/riverbendprep\/2006\/09\/18\/fun-and-busy-weekend\/","title":{"rendered":"Fun and busy weekend"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>Friday night:<\/strong>\u00a0 We celebrated my FIL&#8217;s birthday by going bowling!\u00a0 The boys had a blast!\u00a0 In our state, you can no longer smoke in the bowling alleys.\u00a0 What a treat to be able to bowl and not have your children subjected to secondhand smoke.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/static.flickr.com\/89\/247775238_a98ad5272a.jpg\" \/><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Saturday:\u00a0 <\/strong>The boys and I met up with my Dad and stepmom for a few minutes at the boat show, in Seattle.\u00a0 They live about two hours from us and we don&#8217;t get to see them often, so this was a treat.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Then, we met up with my mom and went to a friend&#8217;s wedding.\u00a0 (She is an old massage client of mine).\u00a0 It was a gorgeous day for a wedding.\u00a0 They had a Hawaiian theme with leis and luau feast.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>After that, the four of us went to a Saturday evening service in Redmond.\u00a0 The topic is currently on worship.\u00a0 We learned to:<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>\n<div>worship always-throughout the day, do a &#8216;breath&#8217; prayer: saying a simple prayer over and over again throughout the day, under your breath.<\/div>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<div>worship (oops, can&#8217;t remember the second one.\u00a0 I&#8217;ll get back on this.)<\/div>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<div>worhip authentically-it is between you and God, no one else.\u00a0 He knows your heart and your intention when coming to Him in worship.<\/div>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>The pastor encouraged us to step out of our comfort zone and raise our worship a notch, in whatever manner we feel called.\u00a0 God call us to worship by singing, dancing, raising our arms, bowing down, (there are a few more I don&#8217;t remember right now.)<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Sunday:\u00a0 <\/strong>Church service at 9:00am.\u00a0 Then, I took the boys, with my friend Michelle, and went to the Puyallup Fair!\u00a0 We spent a good part of the day there and walked tons.\u00a0 The boys were amazing and were able to walk a majority of the time.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/static.flickr.com\/76\/247775247_074f2b4b51.jpg\" \/><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/static.flickr.com\/91\/247775250_913297ea89.jpg\" \/><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Where&#8217;s DH this weekend, you might ask?\u00a0 This was our church&#8217;s &#8216;kick off&#8217; weekend.\u00a0 He is on the Worship Team and is the Youth Worship Leader.\u00a0 He spent both Saturday and Sunday in rehearsal for both teams.\u00a0 Fortunately, this is not a typical weekend for him in terms of time commitment.\u00a0 He had a ton of logistics to deal with, on top of service to the youth.\u00a0 He said that they will have 16-20 kids this year;
