{"id":264426,"date":"2007-01-05T11:03:00","date_gmt":"2007-01-05T11:03:00","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.centerdeep2.com\/riverbendprep\/2007\/01\/05\/lesson-12-30-06\/"},"modified":"2016-11-19T19:19:10","modified_gmt":"2016-11-19T19:19:10","slug":"lesson-12-30-06","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.centerdeep2.com\/riverbendprep\/2007\/01\/05\/lesson-12-30-06\/","title":{"rendered":"Lesson 12\/30\/06"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>Fingerplay<br \/>\n<\/strong>&#8220;This Little King&#8221;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Bible Story<br \/>\n<\/strong>Job 2:3-10, 42:10<br \/>\nChildren&#8217;s Bible: We learned about the trials of Job and his faithfulness<\/p>\n<p><strong>Math Activity<br \/>\n<\/strong>I placed items on a table that represented Job&#8217;s possessions:<br \/>\ntoy squirrel=sheep<br \/>\nquarter=money<br \/>\na picture of the boys=Job&#8217;s kids<br \/>\na box=his house<br \/>\na banana=food<br \/>\n(OK, I am slightly freaking out here&#8230;I am writing this on January 5th, a full week after this activity.\u00a0 I could not remember what the individual items were, so I asked &#8216;A&#8217;, assuming he might remember one of them and help jump start my memory.\u00a0 Never mind.\u00a0 He remembered every item AND what they represented! Dang!)<\/p>\n<p>I lined up each item and the boys counted them.\u00a0 Then I took away one item, and the boys recounted.\u00a0 I took away one more item and the boys recounted.\u00a0 When there were none left, I introduced the number &#8216;Zero&#8217;.\u00a0 I then added the items, one at a time and the boys counted each time.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Letter Activity<br \/>\n<\/strong>The boys practiced witing the letter &#8216;N&#8217;. (I assisted &#8216;R&#8217;)<br \/>\n<img decoding=\"async\" style=\"display: block;\" src=\"http:\/\/farm1.static.flickr.com\/146\/346784370_d6d6610eb0.jpg\" alt=\"\" \/><\/p>\n<p><strong>Bible Activity<br \/>\n<\/strong>We talked about the blessings God has given us.\u00a0 The boys said: toys, pets, food, clothes, house.<br \/>\nI added: friends, family, church, health<br \/>\nI asked: &#8220;Have any blessings ever been taken away?
