\nChildren’s Bible: Daniel would not eat the king’s food.<\/p>\n
\n<\/strong>I set out two plastic plates; one had a bunch of cheese crackers on them.\u00a0 I asked each boy, one at a time, to place a certain number of crackers on the other plate.\u00a0 I went up to 16 for ‘C1’, 13 for ‘A’, 8 for ‘R’, and 5 for ‘C2’.\u00a0 I also wrote a number on a card and had ‘C1 and A’ place the correct number of crackers on the plate.

\n<\/strong>We reviewed all the flashcards from A-P.\u00a0 I would show the boys a flashcard and all who knew it raised their hand.\u00a0 I picked a boy to answer and if it was correct, he got a cracker.\u00a0 I then asked, “what word starts with the letter ___?”\u00a0 A correct answer also got a cracker.
\nI then quizzed each boy individually.

\n<\/strong>We made a “hug” for DH.\u00a0 I measured yarn from outstretched hands to represent a hug.
