\n<\/strong>"What do you know? (A review of the letters A-P)<\/p>\n

Bible Story
\n<\/strong>Daniel 6:3, 11-14, 16, 19-23
\nDaniel prayed to God even though there was a law to pray only to the king.  He was thrown in the lion’s den and an angel closed the lions mouths and saved Daniel.<\/p>\n

Dramatic Play
\n<\/strong>To mimic the story of the men hiding to watch Daniel pray, I took a stuffed animal and hid it around the room.  I told the boys they were "hot" or "cold" if they were near it.  We took turns hiding the toy.  "A" could not stand waiting for me to find it.  He had to tell me where it was.
\n\"\"\n<\/p>\n

Letter Activity
\n<\/strong>I placed a piece of paper in front of the boys and told them to write the letter I told them to. 
\nI also verbally quizzed them on the lowercase letters a-p.  ‘A’ got them all right.  ‘R’ got most right.
\n\"\"<\/p>\n

I also had the boys quiz each other with the flashcards.  ‘A’ got 100%, ‘R’ did as well with a little prompting.
\n\"\"<\/p>\n

Bible Activity
\n<\/strong>We acted out the Bible story of Daniel and the lions den.<\/p>\n

Devotional Activity
\n<\/strong>We reviewed the following verses:
\n1 John 3:18 "My little children, let us not love in word or in tongue, but in deed and in truth:
\nMatthew 6:24 "No one can serve two masters."
\nPsalm 118:1 "Oh, give thanks to th eLord, for He is good!"
\nPsalm 147:1 "Praise the Lord!  For it is good to sing praises to our God."<\/p>\n

Bible Activity
\n<\/strong>We discussed how God is very special, and we should treat him that way.  I had the boys practice saying, "I like you" to their stuffed animals in different voices (silly, angry, high, low, laughing).  I then had them say "I like you", with a voice that really means how special that stuffed animal is to them.  I pointed out that this is the way we should speak to God.<\/p>\n

Art Activity
\n<\/strong>The boys painted a paper plate and I drew a lion’s face on it.  The boys cut the outer edge of the plate and I curled it to represent the lion’s mane of hair.
