{"id":301215,"date":"2007-03-18T09:40:00","date_gmt":"2007-03-18T09:40:00","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.centerdeep2.com\/riverbendprep\/2007\/03\/18\/lesson-3-16-07\/"},"modified":"2007-03-18T09:40:00","modified_gmt":"2007-03-18T09:40:00","slug":"lesson-3-16-07","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.centerdeep2.com\/riverbendprep\/2007\/03\/18\/lesson-3-16-07\/","title":{"rendered":"Lesson 3\/16\/07"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>We went to Bible Study in the morning.&nbsp; The boys went to their class.&nbsp; We hosted a luncheon with three friends and their children after.&nbsp; I watched C1 and C2 in the afternoon and they participated in our homecshool activities.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Fingerplay<br \/>\n<\/strong>&quot;Time to Move&quot;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Bible Story<br \/>\n<\/strong>Mark 8:22-25 and Luke 9:12-17<br \/>\nChildren&#8217;s Bible: Jesus healed a blind man and fed 5000 people<\/p>\n<p><strong>Active Exploration<br \/>\n<\/strong>We talked about what it would be like to not have the sense of sight.&nbsp; I placed items in a pillowcase and the boys had to pick and item and figure out what it was before they pulled it out.&nbsp; I also stated an item and they had to feel for it.&nbsp; All the boys loved this activity.&nbsp; It went on much longer than anticipated.<br \/>\n<img decoding=\"async\" style=\"DISPLAY: block\" alt=\"\" src=\"http:\/\/farm1.static.flickr.com\/160\/425248424_d78ad97111.jpg\" \/><\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" style=\"DISPLAY: block\" alt=\"\" src=\"http:\/\/farm1.static.flickr.com\/183\/425248452_7af2510472.jpg\" \/><\/p>\n<p><strong>Letter Activity<br \/>\n<\/strong>The boys practiced writing &#8216;T&#8217;s:<br \/>\n<img decoding=\"async\" style=\"DISPLAY: block\" alt=\"\" src=\"http:\/\/farm1.static.flickr.com\/149\/425248517_b13f82a7b7.jpg\" \/><\/p>\n<p>We also did &quot;Hide and Seek T&quot;<br \/>\n<img decoding=\"async\" style=\"DISPLAY: block\" alt=\"\" src=\"http:\/\/farm1.static.flickr.com\/157\/425242864_afba35e142.jpg\" \/><\/p>\n<p><strong><img decoding=\"async\" style=\"DISPLAY: block\" alt=\"\" src=\"http:\/\/farm1.static.flickr.com\/160\/425242893_d22a2b5ad3.jpg\" \/><\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Math Activity<br \/>\n<\/strong>Online Deal or No Deal (Learn numbers form 1-26)<br \/>\nI also laid a piece of yarn on the table, and placed five pieces of bread on one side.&nbsp; I then moved a few pieces to the other side and had the boys count all the pieces.&nbsp; I alternated the pieces between both sides.&nbsp; The goal was to teach them that there was always five pieces of bread regardless of which side of the yarn it was: 5+0=5, 4+1=5, 3+2=5.&nbsp; The boys happily chomped on the bread once the activity was over.\n<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" style=\"DISPLAY: block\" alt=\"\" src=\"http:\/\/farm1.static.flickr.com\/170\/425242839_bc5600e8c6.jpg\" \/><br \/>\n<strong>Color Activity<br \/>\n<\/strong>The boys went around the house picking items that were brown.&nbsp; Then they brainstormed items that are brown and I printed images of them on the computer.&nbsp; I cut them out and the boys pasted them on a piece of paper: (honey, dirt, bear, wood, bread, hamburger, chocolate cake)<br \/>\n<img decoding=\"async\" style=\"DISPLAY: block\" alt=\"\" src=\"http:\/\/farm1.static.flickr.com\/186\/425242920_5d90a2109f.jpg\" \/><img decoding=\"async\" style=\"DISPLAY: block\" alt=\"\" src=\"http:\/\/farm1.static.flickr.com\/145\/425248371_881ca0d2cc.jpg\" \/><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>We went to Bible Study in the morning.&nbsp; The boys went to their class.&nbsp; We hosted a luncheon with three friends and their children after.&nbsp; I watched C1 and C2 in the afternoon and they participated in our homecshool activities.
