We read about Jacob meeting Rachel and agreeing to work forseven years to marry her.&nbsp; We read that his uncle betrayed him and gave Leah in marriage instead.&nbsp; We read that Jacob worked for antoher&nbsp;seven years for Rachel.&nbsp; We read that Jacob took his family back to his homeland to make thing right with Esau and was reconciled with him.&nbsp; We read about Jacob&#8217;s youngest son Joseph and how he favored him with a special coat.&nbsp; How his brothers were jealous and thre him in a pit.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Memory verse<br \/>\n<\/strong>2 Corinthians 9:7 &quot;God loves a cheerful giver&quot;.&nbsp; Generosity: I share my things with a cheerful spirit.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Read Aloud<br \/>\n<\/strong>Mother Goose- &quot;Ding, Dong, Bell&quot;<br \/>\n&quot;The Greedy Farmer&quot;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Language Arts<br \/>\n<\/strong>Developing the Early Learner- Ama was here today and helped the boys color this rainbow.<br \/>\n(BTW, &#8216;A&#8217; is dressed up as Emeril, and &#8216;R&#8217; is dressed up as &#8216;Top Chef&#8217;!)<br \/>\n<img decoding=\"async\" style=\"DISPLAY: block\" alt=\"\" src=\"http:\/\/farm1.static.flickr.com\/237\/524815702_a897fa9323.jpg\" \/><br \/>\n<strong>Science<br \/>\n<\/strong>&#8216;Berenstain Bear&#8217;s Book of Science&#8217;: We learned about how it is wind that makes a kite fly, and for a kite you need: a good frame, a long tail, a bunch of string.&nbsp; You also need to go away from the wind, not with the wind to fly the kite.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Social Studies<br \/>\n<\/strong>&#8216;Things People Do&#8217;-The Builder<\/p>\n<p><strong>Character<br \/>\n<\/strong>365 Manners&#8230; We learned about second helpings..It&#8217;s OK to have them when:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>you are eating at home<\/li>\n<li>everyone else has had firsts<\/li>\n<li>seconds are on the table<\/li>\n<li>seconds are offered<\/li>\n<li>at a buffet&#8230;take a clean plate<\/li>\n<li>if you are the host, you offer seconds to your guest first<\/li>\n<li>if the guest takes seconds, it&#8217;s polite for you to also take seconds (even if it is a small amount, so the guest does not have to eat alone.)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Right Choices-We read about how important it is to obey your parents.<\/p>\n<p>No reading today&#8230;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Math<br \/>\n<\/strong>Singapore Math-Lesson 11.
