{"id":385320,"date":"2007-09-04T20:43:00","date_gmt":"2007-09-04T20:43:00","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.centerdeep2.com\/riverbendprep\/2007\/09\/04\/lesson-9-4-07\/"},"modified":"2007-09-04T20:43:00","modified_gmt":"2007-09-04T20:43:00","slug":"lesson-9-4-07","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.centerdeep2.com\/riverbendprep\/2007\/09\/04\/lesson-9-4-07\/","title":{"rendered":"Lesson 9\/4\/07"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>Bible<br \/>\n<\/strong>Children&#8217;s Everyday Bible-We read the story of David and Goliath.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Memory Verse<br \/>\n<\/strong>We reviewed the memory verses to date<\/p>\n<p><strong>Read Aloud<br \/>\n<\/strong>The Children&#8217;s Book of Virtues-Kindness to Animals<\/p>\n<p><strong>Language Arts<br \/>\n<\/strong>DEL-The boys had to trace dotted lines in a spiral for motor skill development.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Science<br \/>\n<\/strong>BBB of Science and Nature-We read about the frog and toad.&nbsp; They are cousins.&nbsp; They are amphibians (able to live on land and in water).&nbsp; They eat flies.&nbsp; They grow from an egg to tadpole to frog or toad.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Life Skills<br \/>\n<\/strong>365 Manners&#8230;We read about things you should not do as an audience member.&nbsp; Don&#8217;t:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>place your coat on the seat in front of you <\/li>\n<li>talk during the performance <\/li>\n<li>fidget <\/li>\n<li>eat loudly <\/li>\n<li>get up to go to the bathroom alot <\/li>\n<li>act disrespectful to others around you <\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Math<br \/>\n<\/strong>Singapore 1B Lesson 16- We talked about up\/down, round and round, side to side.&nbsp; We also learned the difference between curvy lines and straight lines.&nbsp; &#8216;A&#8217; grasped the concept; &#8216;R&#8217; struggled with it.&nbsp; I decided to have them copy the pictures in the book that had straight lines.&nbsp; I did it first and they copied me.<br \/>\n<img decoding=\"async\" style=\"DISPLAY: block\" alt=\"\" src=\"http:\/\/farm2.static.flickr.com\/1268\/1341735427_b454a73ff5.jpg\" \/><\/p>\n<p><strong><img decoding=\"async\" style=\"DISPLAY: block\" alt=\"\" src=\"http:\/\/farm2.static.flickr.com\/1311\/1342627778_3519a8e14c.jpg\" \/><\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong><img decoding=\"async\" style=\"DISPLAY: block\" alt=\"\" src=\"http:\/\/farm2.static.flickr.com\/1272\/1342625832_34a42193be.jpg\" \/><\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Reading<br \/>\n<\/strong>We started &#8216;R&#8217; with a simple lesson today from the &#8216;American Schoolhouse Reader&#8217;.&nbsp; He recognized the upper and lower case &#8216;A&#8217;, and knew the letters and phonetic sounds for a, p,l,x, and n.&nbsp; I helped him put together the words &#8216;apple&#8217;, &#8216;ax&#8217;, and &#8216;Ann&#8217;.<\/p>\n<p>&#8216;A&#8217; read Bob Book volume 2, book 4 &#8216;The Swimmers&#8217;.&nbsp; He got through half of it.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Bible Children&#8217;s Everyday Bible-We read the story of David and Goliath.
