I am the first to admit I am not a perfect mother.  At times, I can be downright nasty.  I spend much of my prayer time asking God to help me rid my frustrations, stresses, and anger before snappping (or even yelling) at my children.<\/p>\n

One thing that God has really impressed on my heart is to ask forgiveness from my children at these times.  It has been hard at times.  I have wanted to justify my behavior because "I am the mom"  and everything I do is "right", even when it’s "wrong."<\/p>\n

Anyway, a few days ago, I felt the need to ask forgiveness for an outburst I had the day prior.  I told the boys that I regretted the outburst and that it was not a reflection of them or their actions.  "A" said, "that’s OK, mommy, I forgive you.  I am going to make you an award for doing the right thing and asking forgiveness."<\/p>\n
