{"id":412771,"date":"2007-10-22T09:13:00","date_gmt":"2007-10-22T09:13:00","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.centerdeep2.com\/riverbendprep\/2007\/10\/22\/could-i-be-any-more-humbled\/"},"modified":"2007-10-22T09:13:00","modified_gmt":"2007-10-22T09:13:00","slug":"could-i-be-any-more-humbled","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.centerdeep2.com\/riverbendprep\/2007\/10\/22\/could-i-be-any-more-humbled\/","title":{"rendered":"Could I be any more humbled?"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>I am the first to admit I am not a perfect mother.&nbsp; At times, I can be downright nasty.&nbsp; I spend much of my prayer time asking God to help me rid my frustrations, stresses, and anger before snappping (or even yelling)&nbsp;at my children.<\/p>\n<p>One thing that God has really impressed on my heart is to ask forgiveness from my children at these times.&nbsp; It has been hard at times.&nbsp; I have wanted to justify my behavior because &quot;I am the mom&quot;&nbsp; and everything I do is &quot;right&quot;, even when it&#8217;s &quot;wrong.&quot;<\/p>\n<p>Anyway, a few days ago, I felt the need to ask forgiveness for an outburst I had the day prior.&nbsp; I told the boys that I regretted the outburst and that it was not a reflection of them or their actions.&nbsp; &quot;A&quot; said, &quot;that&#8217;s OK, mommy, I forgive you.&nbsp; I am going to make you an award for doing the right thing and asking forgiveness.&quot;<\/p>\n<p>Here is my award&#8230;(as I type trhough tears&#8230;)<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" style=\"DISPLAY: block\" alt=\"\" src=\"http:\/\/farm3.static.flickr.com\/2397\/1691626618_1ce8662373.jpg\" \/><\/p>\n<p>As I have said before, I praise God that I am not the person I was, and I praise God that I am not the person I am going to be.&nbsp; I also praise God that my boys are growing hearts that model Jesus, not just because of, but in spite of, me.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>I am the first to admit I am not a perfect mother.&nbsp; At times, I can be downright nasty.&nbsp; I spend much of my prayer time asking God to help me rid my frustrations, stresses, and anger before snappping (or even yelling)&nbsp;at my children.
