The theme was &quot;The Body.&quot;&nbsp; We opened with circle time and sang &quot;Head, Shoulders, Knees and Toes&quot;, and &quot;Five Senses&quot;.&nbsp; We also played a couple of short games where I (leigh) had a child do an action and the kids had to guess what was being done with which body parts (ex. taking a bow at the waist, wiggling ears, turning neck, flapping hands at the wrist).<\/p>\n<p>There were three stations:<\/p>\n<p>Station One- The kids donned a body puzzle and learned about the functions of certain organs and where they are located.&nbsp; They then had a drawing of their torso and had to draw the organs on it.<br \/>\nC3 and the body puzzle&#8230;<br \/>\n<img decoding=\"async\" alt=\"\" src=\"http:\/\/farm3.static.flickr.com\/2164\/2176447769_9043e70281.jpg\" \/><\/p>\n<p>\nBaby N, AJ, and Kathy&#8230;<br \/>\n<img decoding=\"async\" alt=\"\" src=\"http:\/\/farm3.static.flickr.com\/2403\/2177240954_907bf5812f.jpg\" \/><br \/>\n&#8216;A&#8217; and &#8216;R&#8217; were sick and were sequestered in their rooms during the co-op time.&nbsp; But, they enjoyed playing with the body puzzle afterwards&#8230;<br \/>\n<img decoding=\"async\" alt=\"\" src=\"http:\/\/farm3.static.flickr.com\/2198\/2176450579_f645213528.jpg\" \/><img decoding=\"async\" alt=\"\" src=\"http:\/\/farm3.static.flickr.com\/2035\/2176450953_f9f2d0ff04.jpg\" \/><br \/>\nStation Two had six items.&nbsp; The kids explored these items, using all five senses and narrated their&nbsp;experience for a worksheet.<br \/>\n<img decoding=\"async\" alt=\"\" src=\"http:\/\/farm3.static.flickr.com\/2277\/2176449305_a016b529cc.jpg\" \/><br \/>\nStation Three was this great game called &#8216;Hulabaloo&#8217;.&nbsp; This is perfect for young kids.&nbsp; <br \/>\n<img decoding=\"async\" alt=\"\" src=\"http:\/\/farm3.static.flickr.com\/2213\/2176448391_16be00c50f.jpg\" \/><br \/>\nDuring snack break, I had the kids sit in the kitchen and watch popcorn pop in the machine.&nbsp; None of them had seen popcorn pop this way.&nbsp; I had them focus on their senses while watching it pop.&nbsp;&nbsp; They were so excited!<br \/>\n<img decoding=\"async\" alt=\"\" src=\"http:\/\/farm3.static.flickr.com\/2341\/2177241862_2dde8f8fea.jpg\" \/><br \/>\nThe lessons were over, but the moms were enjoying some &quot;chat time&quot;, so we planted the kids in front of the TV for one &quot;Blues Clues&quot; episode&#8230;hey, &#8216;Blues Clues&#8217; <em>is <\/em>educational!<br \/>\n<img decoding=\"async\" alt=\"\" src=\"http:\/\/farm3.static.flickr.com\/2055\/2176450071_75b0bfef6b.jpg\" \/><br \/>\n<a href=\"http:\/\/www.homeschoolblogger.com\/rootsandwings\/457340\/\"><\/a><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Leigh hosted today&#8217;s school.&nbsp;
