{"id":555765,"date":"2008-07-02T21:21:00","date_gmt":"2008-07-03T05:21:00","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.centerdeep2.com\/riverbendprep\/2008\/07\/02\/roots-and-wings-tuesday-time-7-1-08\/"},"modified":"2011-10-08T03:43:48","modified_gmt":"2011-10-08T03:43:48","slug":"roots-and-wings-tuesday-time-7-1-08","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.centerdeep2.com\/riverbendprep\/2008\/07\/02\/roots-and-wings-tuesday-time-7-1-08\/","title":{"rendered":"Roots and Wings Tuesday Time 7\/1\/08"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Our homeschool co-op changed the structure of our group time.&nbsp; We have take our group time back into the home, and are pairing up families, and rotate each week.&nbsp; This is me and Linda&#8230;<\/p>\n<table cellspacing=\"0\" cellpadding=\"0\">\n<tbody>\n<tr>\n<td>\n<p>We did our time around firefighting in preparation for our field trip next week and R&#8217;s love of firefighters. <\/p>\n<p>We started with cirlce time and a Bible story on God leading the Israelites out of Eygpt by a cloud of smoke and fire &#8211; and how that is not one fire we want to put out!<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" alt=\"\" src=\"http:\/\/i192.photobucket.com\/albums\/z246\/linny_milly\/blog5-23.jpg\" \/><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;After the Bible story, Linda read from a few books about firefighters and community helpers.<br \/>\n            <img decoding=\"async\" alt=\"\" src=\"http:\/\/farm4.static.flickr.com\/3118\/2631050255_64f8a9397b.jpg?v=0\" \/><\/p>\n<p>After circle time we went to work in the kitchen to start our pretzel dough! We made whole wheat soft <a href=\"http:\/\/heavenlyhomemakers.com\/blog\/making-homemade-soft-pretzelsagain\">pretzels<\/a> . Yum-O!<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" alt=\"\" src=\"http:\/\/farm4.static.flickr.com\/3108\/2631872626_a52a8e51a5.jpg?v=0\" \/><\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" alt=\"\" src=\"http:\/\/i192.photobucket.com\/albums\/z246\/linny_milly\/blog.jpg\" \/><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" alt=\"\" src=\"http:\/\/i192.photobucket.com\/albums\/z246\/linny_milly\/blog9-13.jpg\" \/><\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" alt=\"\" src=\"http:\/\/farm4.static.flickr.com\/3258\/2631051091_45fece1268.jpg?v=0\" \/><\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" alt=\"\" src=\"http:\/\/farm4.static.flickr.com\/3263\/2631873486_85f6cfa623.jpg?v=0\" \/><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Leigh talked on &#8216;then &amp; now&#8217; of how fires used to be put out; how buckets were used and were filled up by a well\/stream\/lake and people would work together to get the water from point A to B.
