Days 5 and 6"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>Day 5<\/strong> <\/p>\n<p>DH took the boys for the day.&nbsp; They played in the pool and ocean all day.&nbsp; <br \/>\nThe required jumping on the bed at a hotel&#8230;\n<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" alt=\"\" src=\"http:\/\/farm4.static.flickr.com\/3072\/3010620897_47f0ff9b0f.jpg?v=0\" \/><img decoding=\"async\" alt=\"\" src=\"http:\/\/farm4.static.flickr.com\/3235\/3011458454_3f11f861c9.jpg?v=0\" \/><\/p>\n<p>I took Grandma Margaret for the day and went exploring.&nbsp; <\/p>\n<p>The first place we went to was a Historic Printing Museum in Lahaina.&nbsp; Margaret taught typography on the college level and this seemed like something she&#8217;d be interested in.<br \/>\n<a href=\"http:\/\/www.lahainarestoration.org\/halepai.html\">Hale Pa&#8217;i Printing Museum<\/a><\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" alt=\"\" src=\"http:\/\/farm4.static.flickr.com\/3295\/3010622813_4298037dd4.jpg?v=0\" \/><br \/>\nThis is actual currency used at this missionary and only at the missionary.<br \/>\n<img decoding=\"async\" alt=\"\" src=\"http:\/\/farm4.static.flickr.com\/3151\/3011460388_d8d46fc63c.jpg?v=0\" \/><br \/>\nThe docent (Chai) showing Margaret the press&#8230;<br \/>\n<img decoding=\"async\" alt=\"\" src=\"http:\/\/farm4.static.flickr.com\/3165\/3011461284_8b51211f60.jpg?v=0\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Margaret showing Chai a few things&#8230;<br \/>\n<img decoding=\"async\" alt=\"\" src=\"http:\/\/farm4.static.flickr.com\/3252\/3010625521_1d0f8d47db.jpg?v=0\" \/><img decoding=\"async\" alt=\"\" src=\"http:\/\/farm4.static.flickr.com\/3058\/3011463224_25a2f2c1f5.jpg?v=0\" \/><br \/>\nAfter that, I took Margaret to my favorite town on Maui, Paia.&nbsp; We had lunch at <a href=\"http:\/\/www.flatbreadcompany.com\/2007Home.htm\">Flatbread.<\/a>&nbsp; (Yes, Linda, we had the kalua pork and onion pizza&#8230;).&nbsp; We shopped around town and then met up with Paul and Shannon in Kahului.&nbsp; Margaret went with them for the evening.<\/p>\n<p>Back at the villas, we went to dinner at the Westin Pulehu, their upscale option at the property.&nbsp; Here is our baked alaska dessert.&nbsp; YUM!<br \/>\n<img decoding=\"async\" alt=\"\" src=\"http:\/\/farm4.static.flickr.com\/3277\/3011464072_fc3b4acd30.jpg?v=0\" \/><br \/>\nOne of the things DH and I love to do while on Maui is watch Japanese TV.&nbsp; We lay in bed at night and watch dramas with subtitles.&nbsp; If we had Japanese TV where we live, I don&#8217;t think we&#8217;d watch it, but it just kind of works on Maui, KWIM?<\/p>\n<p><strong>Day 6<\/p>\n<p><\/strong>Since Margaret was with Paul for the day, DH and I decided to break up our day with the kids.&nbsp; Both boys wanted to do different things.&nbsp; He took &#8216;A&#8217; snorkeling at Baby Beach, and I stayed with &#8216;R&#8217; at the Villas and played cars and played in the pool.<\/p>\n<p>We had dinner that night at Shannon&#8217;s (Uncle Paul&#8217;s girlfriend) parents house.&nbsp; She was born and raised on Maui and they live in Kihei.&nbsp; Shannon&#8217;s family is the epitomy of <strong><em>ho&#8217;okipa <\/em><\/strong>(hospitality).&nbsp; Carol, (the Mom), creates a magnificent feast, and Cowboy (the Dad) is gracious and tells great stories.&nbsp;
