{"id":725586,"date":"2009-09-09T23:22:00","date_gmt":"2009-09-10T07:22:00","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.centerdeep2.com\/riverbendprep\/2009\/09\/09\/the-love-fern\/"},"modified":"2009-09-09T23:22:00","modified_gmt":"2009-09-10T07:22:00","slug":"the-love-fern","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.centerdeep2.com\/riverbendprep\/2009\/09\/09\/the-love-fern\/","title":{"rendered":"The Love Fern"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>We are not a household of plants.&nbsp; I am not a fan of fake plants and real ones get chewed up by our cat.&nbsp; So, we live plant free.<br \/>\nHowever, when we put our house on the market in Washington, we bought some plastic plants to stage the place a bit.&nbsp; One was a plastic fern.<br \/>\nDavid brought these plastic plants down to California when he moved all of our items out after selling.&nbsp; I had planned on sending them to the Goodwill.<br \/>\nBut, upon entering the bedroom, here is what I found&#8230;<br \/>\n<img decoding=\"async\" alt=\"\" src=\"http:\/\/farm3.static.flickr.com\/2510\/3898897683_072b4860a6.jpg\" \/><br \/>\nDavid calls it our &#8216;love fern&#8217; (if you have ever seen the move &#8216;How to lose a Guy in 10 Days&#8217;, you will know what he&#8217;s referencing.)<\/p>\n<p>PROS: It&#8217;s plastic, so we can&#8217;t kill it<br \/>\nCONS: It&#8217;s FAKE (how&#8217;s that for a symbol of our love? \ud83d\ude42 HA!)<\/p>\n<p>Anyway, I thought this was hilarious and now our &#8216;love fern&#8217; resides on my nightstand.&nbsp; Even if it is plastic&#8230;<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>We are not a household of plants.&nbsp; I am not a fan of fake plants and real ones get chewed up by our cat.&nbsp; So, we live plant free.
