{"id":762065,"date":"2010-01-29T14:49:00","date_gmt":"2010-01-29T22:49:00","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.centerdeep2.com\/riverbendprep\/2010\/01\/29\/monterey-weekend\/"},"modified":"2010-01-29T14:49:00","modified_gmt":"2010-01-29T22:49:00","slug":"monterey-weekend","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.centerdeep2.com\/riverbendprep\/2010\/01\/29\/monterey-weekend\/","title":{"rendered":"Monterey Weekend"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>I was honored to be picked by my friend, Tina (<a href=\"http:\/\/www.tinacareymusic.com\">http:\/\/www.tinacareymusic.com<\/a>), to serve as her Powerpoint girl as she led Worship (Band name: Watergirl),&nbsp;for the North Conference Baptist Women&#8217;s Retreat.<\/p>\n<p>There were about 500 women, and&nbsp;aside&nbsp;a few &nbsp;technical difficulties, the conference was amazing!<\/p>\n<p>This is Watergirl after the session the first night.&nbsp; All of these women are from different churches throughout the Bay area&#8230;<br \/>\n<img decoding=\"async\" alt=\"\" src=\"http:\/\/farm3.static.flickr.com\/2762\/4311868464_7bb1dd4489.jpg\" \/>L-R: Cleo, Jane, Tina, Sue, Sondra, Stephanie<\/p>\n<p>Tina and me<br \/>\n<img decoding=\"async\" alt=\"\" src=\"http:\/\/farm3.static.flickr.com\/2680\/4311132083_3d7040c432.jpg\" \/><br \/>\nWe had a little free time on Satuday and went to Pacific Grove for lunch.&nbsp; We had a terrific lunch at the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.redhousecafe.com\/\">Red House Cafe<\/a>.&nbsp; I am glad we ate out on the covered porch, because this little place would not have been able to handle this spirited group of women!&nbsp; We shared desserts, and my fave was the chocolate cream pie (picture below.) YUM!<br \/>\n<img decoding=\"async\" alt=\"\" src=\"http:\/\/farm5.static.flickr.com\/4031\/4311132333_0bed3fd2cf.jpg\" \/><br \/>\nFull bellies after lunch&#8230;<br \/>\n<img decoding=\"async\" alt=\"\" src=\"http:\/\/farm3.static.flickr.com\/2717\/4311132701_18b9a0dba2.jpg\" \/><br \/>\nOn Sunday, after the retreat was over, we enjoyed another terrific lunch at <a href=\"http:\/\/www.patisserieboissiere.com\/index.htm\">Patisserie Boissiere<\/a>&nbsp;in Carmel by the Sea.&nbsp; Wow, all I have to say is that I definitely need to return and explore this lovely little town.&nbsp; I wish we had more time to explore it.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>I was honored to be picked by my friend, Tina (http:\/\/www.tinacareymusic.com), to serve as her Powerpoint girl as she led Worship (Band name: Watergirl),&nbsp;for the North Conference Baptist Women&#8217;s Retreat.
