{"id":762073,"date":"2010-01-29T15:19:00","date_gmt":"2010-01-29T23:19:00","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.centerdeep2.com\/riverbendprep\/2010\/01\/29\/reno-convention-with-daddy\/"},"modified":"2010-01-29T15:19:00","modified_gmt":"2010-01-29T23:19:00","slug":"reno-convention-with-daddy","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.centerdeep2.com\/riverbendprep\/2010\/01\/29\/reno-convention-with-daddy\/","title":{"rendered":"Reno Convention with Daddy"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>A perk of homeschooling is the flexibility to go wherever, whenever.&nbsp; We decided to join David for a convention where his company had a booth in the vendor hall.&nbsp; <\/p>\n<p>The convention was for the Western Fairs Association and was located at the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.grandsierraresort.com\/\">Grand Sierra Resort<\/a>&nbsp;in Reno.&nbsp; This property was pretty dark and the decor outtdated, the place had that old smoke smell, but the service was excellent all throughout and there were plenty of family oriented activities to enjoy.<\/p>\n<p>We spent the first afternoon walking through the vendor hall at the convention.&nbsp; Because this is the place where entertainers are showing their talent to Fair management, you can imagine the colorful characters we encountered.&nbsp; It was a little bit of stimulus overload for the boys, because there were very few children and the entertainers were mostly geared for kids.&nbsp; So, they were constantly plying the kids with treats, swag,&nbsp; and experiences.<\/p>\n<p>Here, the boys are battling it out with little robots&#8230;<br \/>\n<img decoding=\"async\" alt=\"\" src=\"http:\/\/farm5.static.flickr.com\/4065\/4311869572_f2a1dc7c3b.jpg\" \/><\/p>\n<p>\nJuggler, Balloon Artist, etc&#8230;<br \/>\n<img decoding=\"async\" alt=\"\" src=\"http:\/\/farm3.static.flickr.com\/2800\/4311133613_bbc4645e79.jpg\" \/><br \/>\nOur company booth, with my cousin (David&#8217;s business partner), Terry&#8230;<br \/>\n<img decoding=\"async\" alt=\"\" src=\"http:\/\/farm5.static.flickr.com\/4055\/4311870564_e6cac18fc0.jpg\" \/><br \/>\nA very&#8230;ummm&#8230;short?
