Shelter Cove has a lighthouse and we decided to visit it on our way out.\u00a0 This lighthouse used to be stationed at Cape Mendocino, but the cliff was eroding, and no one was maintaining the lighthouse.\u00a0 It was in disrepair.\u00a0 35 years ago, it was transferred to Shelter Cove and refurbished.\u00a0 It is not a big one, but it used to sit on a very high cliff, and did the job it was built for.<\/p>\n

We noticed that the tide was out a bit and decided to explore the tidepools.\u00a0 We were in\u00a0 for a wonderful treat!!\u00a0\u00a0 I was raised spending alot of time poking around tidepools.\u00a0 These tidepools were the most healthy, vibrant, active pools I have ever witnessed.\u00a0 Look at who else we ran into…
