Grandma Margaret joined us for a week!\u00a0 We enjoyed our time at home, but also got a chance to get out for a couple of day trips.\u00a0 Once such trip was to San Francisco.\u00a0 We dropped Margaret off at a friend’s house (they have known each other since college), and we took the boys to Fisherman’s Wharf to one of our favorite restaurants, The Franciscan,<\/a> for lunch.

The restaurant has binoculars at the table.\u00a0 You can see the Golden Gate Bridge, and Alcatraz from the window…
\n\"\"
\n\"\"<\/p>\n

After lunch, we drove up to Coit Tower<\/a>.\u00a0 We took the aged elevator up to the top to enjoy the sweeping views of San Francisco…
\n\"\"
\n\"\"
\n\"\"
\n\"\"
\n\"\"<\/p>\n

‘A’ wanted us to act like we were getting arrested…(Alcatraz is in the background…)
\n\"\"<\/p>\n

After Coit Tower, we decided to drive to Lombard Street<\/a>, and drive down the crookedest street in San Francisco.
\n\"\"
\n\"\"<\/p>\n

We spent the rest of the afternoon playing at Ocean Beach<\/a>.\u00a0 The weather was delightful; not too hot or cold.
\n\"\"<\/p>\n

The boys found a furry friend and held a digging party…
\n\"\"<\/p>\n

Rolling down the sand dunes…

It was time for dinner, and we knew we wanted Chinese, but did not know where to go.\u00a0 So, we pulled out our trusty iPhone app, Urbanspoon<\/a>.\u00a0 We entered the neighborhood we were in (Richmond), Chinese,\u00a0 and $$.\u00a0 Up popped Burma Superstar<\/a>.\u00a0 There were quite a few positive reviews, so we decided to check it out.\u00a0 I am so glad we did!\u00a0 It is actually Burmese food; a combination of Chinese, Thai, and Laos.\u00a0 Apparently two of their dishes were recently showcased on one of the Rachel Ray shows.\u00a0

After dinner, we drove to the new apartment of David’s brother Paul and girlfriend, Shannon.\u00a0 Paul had picked up Grandma Margaret and spent the afternoon\/evening with her.\u00a0 After we visited for a while, we headed for home.\u00a0 It was a full, fun packed day!
