Yesterday, it rained all morning.\u00a0 But, it cleared up in the afternoon, and this morning was gorgeous!\u00a0 A perfect day for participating in the 2010 Merrell Down and Dirty Mud Run!<\/a><\/p>\n

I left the house alone and ran the 5k.\u00a0 This included about seven obstacles and some major hills.\u00a0 I was able to complete all but one of the obstacles, and was able to run the smaller hills, but walked the bigger ones.<\/p>\n

Then, David brought the boys a few hours later.\u00a0 They were able to each participate in a run targeting their ages.\u00a0 ‘R’ ran a 100 yard dash, and I was required to run with him.\u00a0 It had three obstacles: crawling under a canopy, crossing a grounded balance beam, climbing over a low fence, and doing the mud crawl…<\/p>\n

‘A’ did an excellent job, running the whole ONE MILE<\/strong> and\u00a0 did all of\u00a0his obstacles.\u00a0 He said it was hard, but he stuck with it, and was excited to pass many of the kids who has started in a sprint and burned out.\u00a0 ‘A’ paced himself for a strong finish.\u00a0 He was also excited because this was the first run where he had a timing chip like the big guns!<\/p>\n
