A LETTER FROM GOD<\/strong><\/p>\n

Hi,<\/p><\/div>\n

\n

As you got up this morning,
\nI watched you and hoped you would talk to me,
\neven if it was just a few words,
\nasking my opinion or thanking me for
\nsomething good that happened in your life yesterday –
\nbut I noticed you were to busy
\ntrying to find the right outfit to put on
\nand wear to work.<\/p>\n

I waited again.
\nWhen you ran around the house getting ready
\nI knew there would be a few minutes for you to stop and say hello,
\nbut you were too busy.
\nAt one point you had to wait fifteen minutes
\nwith nothing to do except sit in a chair.
\nThen I saw you spring to your feet.
\nI thought you wanted to talk to me
\nbut you ran to the phone and called a friend
\nto get the latest gossip.<\/p>\n

I watched as you went to work
\nand I waited patiently all day long.
\nWith all your activities
\nI guess you were too busy
\nto say anything to me.<\/p>\n

I noticed that before lunch
\nyou looked around,
\nmaybe you felt embarrassed to talk to me,
\nthat is why you didn’t bow your head.
\nYou glanced three or four tables over
\nand you noticed some of your friends
\ntalking to me briefly before they ate, but you didn’t.
\nThat’s okay. There is still more time left,
\nand I have hope that you will talk to me…
\nyet you went home
\nand it seems as if you had
\nlots of things to do.<\/p>\n

After a few of them were done you turned on the TV,
\nI don’t know if you like TV or not,
\njust about anything goes there
\nand you spent a lot of time each day
\nin front of it,
\nnot thinking about anything –
\njust enjoying the show.<\/p>\n

I waited patiently again
\nas you watched the TV and ate your meal…
\nbut again you didn’t talk to me.
\nBedtime – I guess you felt too tired.
\nAfter you said goodnight to your family
\nyou plopped into bed and fell asleep in no time.<\/p>\n

That’s okay
\nbecause you may not realize
\nthat I am always there for you.
\nI’ve got patience
\nmore than you will ever know.
\nI even want to teach you
\nhow to be patient with others as well.
\nI love you so much
\nthat I wait everyday for a nod,
\nprayer or thought or a thankful part of your heart.
\nIt is hard to have a one-sided conversation.<\/p>\n

Well you are getting up again and once again I will wait with nothing but love for you hoping that today you will give me some time.<\/p>\n
