I often mention our \u201cmorning routine\u201d. \u00a0This is something we do pretty much every day with little deviation. We have a checklist posted for the boys to refer to. \u00a0I often have them do one task, the come and ‘high-five’ me. \u00a0This helps keep them on task.<\/p>\n
Now that the boys are a little older (6 and 8), we can knock this out within an hour (assuming they stick to the tasks\u2026), but this routine used to take a good part of the day in the early years!<\/p>\n
-Breakfast\/vitamins
\n-Brush teeth
\n-Hair
\n-Get dressed
\n-Make bed
\n-Clean room (as in tidy)
\n-Dishes (They empty and load)
\n-Cleaning ( I tidy kitchen, dining, living and family rooms. I wipe down kitchen sink and counters.)
\n-Clean bathroon (The boys wipe down sinks and counters. They alternate days who does the downstairs\/upstairs)
\n-Sweep (I sweep kitchen and entry)
\n-Empty all trash baskets (The boys consolidate the small trash to the large kitchen one.)
\n-Laundry (The boys collect all laundry and sort them in piles in the laundry room.)
\n-Feed cat and water (the boys do this)\/check\/clean litter box (I do this)<\/p>\n
