{"id":786560,"date":"2012-09-06T13:45:31","date_gmt":"2012-09-06T13:45:31","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.centerdeep2.com\/riverbendprep\/?p=786560"},"modified":"2012-09-06T13:45:31","modified_gmt":"2012-09-06T13:45:31","slug":"not-of-this-world","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.centerdeep2.com\/riverbendprep\/2012\/09\/06\/not-of-this-world\/","title":{"rendered":"Not of This World"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>John 17:16-18 \u201cThey are not of the world, just as I am not of the world.\u00a0 Sanctify them by Your truth.\u00a0 Your word is truth.\u00a0 As You sent Me into the world, I also have sent them into the world.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Every once in a while you will come across a car with this window decal:<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.centerdeep2.com\/riverbendprep\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/09\/not_of_this_world_by_paintmyheartblue-d4a8v5x.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-thumbnail wp-image-786561\" title=\"not_of_this_world_by_paintmyheartblue-d4a8v5x\" src=\"http:\/\/www.centerdeep2.com\/riverbendprep\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/09\/not_of_this_world_by_paintmyheartblue-d4a8v5x-150x150.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"150\" height=\"150\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>You may or may not have wondered what it means.\u00a0 This is a Christian apparel logo based on John 17:15-18<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.notw.com\"><strong>N<\/strong>ot <strong>O<\/strong>f <strong>T<\/strong>his <strong>W<\/strong>orld<\/a><\/p>\n<p>In John 17:17, Jesus prays that His disciples are <em>sanctified <\/em>by God\u2019s truth.\u00a0 Sanctify means \u201cto set apart for sacred use, cleansed and made holy.\u201d\u00a0\u00a0 Jesus continues to say\u00a0 God\u2019s Word is truth.<\/p>\n<p>As disciples of Jesus, we are set apart from the ways of the world.\u00a0 We are <strong><em>in <\/em><\/strong>the world, but not <strong><em>of\u00a0<\/em><\/strong> it.
