Focus: Jacob’s Ladder and meeting Rachel
Math Activity
I marked a starting line and made the goal of a stuffed animal (Mrs. Ladybug, playing the part of ‘Rachel’). The boys had to hop to the goal. Each landing was marked by a line.
We then compared the jumps using the words: shortest, longest, farther, closest.
Letter Activity
The boys had to pick out the “D’s”. ‘R’ did well circling without my assistance. He found 9/14. ‘A’ did the whole lesson without any assistance, and found 13/14. (He actually found 2 I had missed when checking ‘R’s!)
Bible Activity
The boys drew a piece of Jacob’s Ladder (looks like the letter ‘H’) in boxes. ‘A’ was able to make the ladders unassisted, and drew the number one without help. I assisted with the remaining numbers. I helped ‘R’ with all of his.
