I set out a bunch of items on the table and had the boys look at them. Then, I had them close their eyes and I took one item away and rearranged them. The boys had to guess which item I took. They did not do well with this. So, I took an item away without rearranging them. A did very well with this. R got one right (I think).

Color Activity
I asked ‘A’ what two colors make purple. He correctly answered ‘blue and red’. I asked them what items are purple. ‘A’ said grapes, and ‘R’ said grape juice. We could not think of other items that are purple, so we looked it up on ‘Enchanted Learning’. The boys pasted the items and colored them.
