One of the boy’s schoolmates is an emerging artist. I enjoy following her on social media as she posts her finished art pieces. One of them caught my eye. It is of a young woman reading among a library of books. I commissioned her to make a piece that 1) looked like a younger version of me, and 2) had the titles of the books that Rory Gilmore read in the TV series, “The Gilmore Girls”. The top graphic is the original version. The bottom graphic is the commissioned piece. I love it and will treasure it.
