Our homeschool group hosted a history class covering 5,000 years in three hours! The boys received an incredible coloring book (to call it a coloring book does not do it justice). It has made for some excellent discussions at home…

It’s going by too fast! AAARRGGGHHH!! I can’t handle this!
He had celebrated an early birthday with friend by going to see The Lego Movie earlier in the month. Since we weren’t sure it would still be in the theaters, he wanted to celebrate early. For the actually day…’R’ celebrated with a custom order breakfast of peppered salami, peppered bacon, Doritos, cheese and crackers, and grapes.

The best lemonade at Nugget…

The four of us sat “The Muppet Movie” at the theater.
Opening presents from family…

Pizza and beignets at Chicago Fire Pizza…

Completing the day by putting together a Lego set he received from uncle Art and Aunt Annie.

I love you, buddy. Stop growing.

When it rains, the golf course tends to flood, creating huge puddles (or mini-lakes). The boys had some friends over and asked if they could play on the course. I figured it would not hurt, sine there was no one golfing…

My friend, Marisa, and I, took our kids to a lecture at the nearby Christian college, William Jessup University. They did a terrific job listening, although it was a bit over their heads. How do I know that? Because it was a bit over mine! After the talk, Marisa and I decided we had all earned ice cream….
